Chaar Cup Chai
A Hindi Short Film.

Once a year, on a day no calendar knows, a man named Vir walks out of his own life. He doesn't tell anyone where he's going. He doesn't post about it. He doesn't return the same. A quiet film about a question we never ask aloud — only carry, somewhere inside.

The Craft

How We Work.

A film succeeds or fails in its details. Echo Framely is built on this conviction.

We don't follow a template. We don't chase trends. Every film begins with a single question — what does this story need? — and every decision that follows is in service of the answer.

The right film is the one that knows what it is. It picks the right length, the right pace, the right silence. It uses every frame deliberately. It earns its ending.

Echo Framely is small on purpose. We work slowly, with care. The brief is never to make a film that looks like another film. The brief is to make a film that could only have been made by the people who made it, for the story they were trying to tell.

Every collaborator who works with Echo Framely is trusted to bring their voice. The house exists to clear a path — not to dictate one.

We will continue to experiment. With form, with format, with method. Some films will look familiar. Others won't. The only constant is craft.

From The Director's Chair

In Their Own Voice.

A note from each filmmaker — on the film they made, in their own words.

Vir is the kind of man you see every day and never quite notice. Once a year, on a day no calendar knows, he steps out of his own life. This film is not about where he goes. It is about why a man might need a day that belongs to no one but himself.
Intruder

Saurabh Sonawale, Director
Some things follow us home. Intruder is a film about the ones that knock from the inside.

The road back is longer than the road in. This film is for anyone walking it.
Cinema's characteristic forte is its ability to capture and communicate the intimacies of the human mind.

Manifesto

Why Echo Framely Exists.

Modern cinema rewards the loud. The fast cut. The dopamine. The thumbnail that yells louder than the next.

Echo Framely is built for the other kind of viewer — the one who pauses a film at minute four because the silence is doing something. The one who watches an end-credit roll because they're not ready to come back yet. The one who, days later, finds themselves still thinking about a single frame.

We are a small house. We will stay small on purpose. Every film is hand-built — by directors who are trusted to make a film their own way, with no pressure to make it look like anyone else's.

The only constraint is the one Tarkovsky named: that the film, when it ends, should leave something behind that did not exist before.

"I just want to make films that move me. If they don't move me, they won't move anyone."

— Imtiaz Ali
Behind The Frame

The Founder.

Founder · Echo Framely

Nitesh B. Mohite

Filmmaker · Cinematographer · Founder

Nitesh founded Echo Framely in 2025 with one question in mind: what would a film house look like if it served the film, instead of the other way around? He directs his own work and presents the work of other filmmakers whose sensibilities resonate with the house. He believes a great frame is found, not built. He believes cinema is closer to memory than to entertainment.

Collaborators

Echo Framely is built around the belief that every film deserves the right hands. The makers below are credited for what they brought to the work currently in the archive — each one named, per film, per role.
